AN ANIMATED WORLD · A PRODUCTION PROOF
Dark
Forest2D
A boy crosses a forest that watches him. This production proof uses AI-generated 3D objects and animation in an illustrated, editable Blender scene.
See how it was madeTHE METHOD
From sketch to shot.
Five decisions, one continuous production path.
01 / CONCEPT
First, define
the world.
Concept work shaped the castle, forest, boy and his equipment, then tested contrasting illustrated treatments. The character sheet fixes his proportions before any mesh is built.
02 / AI-GENERATED 3D OBJECTS
Give every piece
its own form.
The boy, backpack, lantern, trees and boulders are AI-generated 3D meshes. Each is selected, adjusted and prepared for the shot in Blender before the forest moves toward a drawn look.

03 / AI-GENERATED ANIMATION
Direct the
performance.
Walk. Slow. Turn. Hold. Continue. The artist directs the path, timing, glance and lantern carry; AI generates the 3D performance for refinement in Blender.
AI-generated 3D animation · character view above, full travel distance below. The motion remains editable for new blocking, camera work and shots.
04 / SCENE ASSEMBLY
A forest made
of illustrated depth.
For the manga direction, forest elements are reworked as painted, cardboard-like cutouts. They sit at different depths around real terrain and the animated boy, all assembled and lit in Blender.
The result reads as 2D, while the camera still has space to move.

Actual textured scenes in Blender: move through the set, switch camera views, and reposition the boy.
Light enough to iterate: the optimized scene saves at 92 MB; sampled 480p Eevee frames rendered in under one second after warm-up on the production workstation.
05 / AI VIDEO STYLE STUDY
Push the ink
even further.
AI video generation explores a sharper manga treatment using the directed shots as motion guides. The selected look becomes the final two-shot ink edit.
